When in Rome…

…what else? Eat some of the best food in Europe, drink some of the best wine and see some of the most magnificent sights, all while being welcomed by some of the friendliest people in the world.

Oh, and revise one’s manuscript:-(

The family is out today, exploring the Colosseum and other fabulous historic  monuments and  have left me here at the hotel to do battle with revisions on my latest manuscript. And I was doing them – honest – till the cleaners needed to tidy the room (and there was no way I was going to turn that offer down:-)) so now I’m sitting in the lounge enjoying the wifi for a few minutes.

Italy is wonderful. Yesterday we ventured down past Naples and visited Pompeii, and then lunched at Sorrento before venturing over the Amalfi Peninsula and dropping in on the magnificent town of Positano. Simply breathtaking!

Tomorrow we say arrivederci to Rome and head off to Crete. And meanwhile I have to do these revisions!

Ah to be in Roma Trish…. *sigh*

I know, Eleni, but if anything can make me feel better about leaving Italy, it’s that we’ll be in Greece tomorrow. We have a five hour stopover in Athens on our way to Chania in Crete, so we’ve arranged for a half day tour of the city. I’m so looking forward to being back in Crete, but I can’t wait for my first taste of Athens beforehand!

How’re the revisions going on the eepie? All the best with those. A bummer they’re interrupting your holiday 😦 since it’s not like you get to visit placed like the Colosseum every day of the week. Your tour yesterday sounds absolutely wonderful.

Have a great time in both Athens and Crete!

If you HAVE TO do revisions, then what better place than bella Roma. Not that I’ve ever visited Rome. Not that I’m green or anything. And next Greece and then Crete; the story ideas must be forming a complete traffic jam (apt for Rome?) in your fertile brain.

Enjoy, Bron

Now I’m really jealous, Italy and Greece, sigh.

Blitz the revisions, Trish, and have a fabulous time.
More pics of the MoreyWiggles please.
Bron and others, we’ll just have to arrange a conference in Italy.

Hi guys! I finally found an internet cafe here in Chania, Crete and have a chance to check what’s happening in cyberspace. Revisions are happening – slowly – but they are happening!

Forgot to load some new photos on a usb drive to upload. Making a mental note for more of the wigglets next time:-))

Oh yes, a conference in Roma! I just adore Roma and wanted to live there…but it’s not going to happen. I hope to return there one day and I did toss a coin in last time (right hand, left shoulder)

Hugs and welcome back. Hope to read about these wonderful places in your books.

Hi Serena! And yes, there will be books – lots of books. You cannot travel to these places without feeling inspired. And in awe. Rome was wonderful. I really can’t believe we’re back and that it’s over. Must go pore over some more photos and do a proper Rome blog!
