Fivizzano and Agnino

Way up in the north of Tuscany, at the foot of a mountain, sits the gorgeous village of Fivizzano. On a Tuesday morn, they have a wonderful market in the square. I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of the buildings and clock tower framing the square and the beautiful vegetable and flower stalls in the market.

Higher up on the mountain itself, clings the tiny village of Agnino. There I settled in with ten other fabulous women for an amazing week in the most gorgeous villa. It was so lovely, we wanted to stay and enjoy the view (and the infinity pool!) all day, but there were other lovely places nearby to visit and so we forced ourselves to leave and explore wonderful places like Pontremoli, Lucca and the Cinque Terre.  More on those later.  Right now, take a peek at this lovely corner of the world…
The view from my bedroom window seemed to stretch forever, the morning mist filling the valleys with the occasional village poking through.
And the house itself was amazing, a beautiful old stone villa restored lovingly and featuring even a pizza oven (which we gave a good work out:-)

HinTeish , I am lucky enough to be staying ini Agnino later this year and was hoping you have advise on how to get to Agnino Fromm Fivvizano? Is there a bus service or a taxi service ? Thanks

Hi Julie and sorry I didn’t notice this question before. You’ve probably already found out the answer, if not already had your holiday, but just in case, there is a little blue bus that runs between the towns. Not sure of the timetable. I’m sure there are plenty of taxis too. Have fun! It’s a gorgeous spot.
